Wild Hare is a classic APA- richly hopped, fruity and floral. Munich malt nicely balances the assertive character of the U.S. Golding and Bravo hop varieties that give this brew its signature bitterness and aroma.

Purchased in Vermont, part of their tester mixed-pack. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm creamy cap, good retention and lots of sticky lacing. Malty nose with biscuit, fruity malts, mild caramel, yeast and hints of bananas. Flavours of light roasted malts, bread and again, banana notes. Smooth mouthfeel. One of their better brews so far.

Hazy darker orange with off-white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is quite hoppy with some caramel. Taste is first hoppy, then turning into sweet and in time hop again. (Houston 201301)

Not a flashy beer but still a pretty solid pale ale from a brewery more accustomed to making lagers. Mild pine and grassy hop aroma; a bit thin; bready malt and piney hop taste with a lightly bitter finish.

A deep copper-amber colored beer with lots of effervescene. Big frothy textured off white head. Not much hang time but a thick sudsy ringlet left behind. Light grassy caramel nose. Stronger of the same profile in the tasting. Medium bodied and smooth.

Comes out of the tap a somewhat hazy and very appetizing copper-gold with a respectable pale wheat head. Strong aroma is malty and fruity, providing tones of apple and pear and a hint of banana. Flavor is mainly fruity, pear and apple and a bit of banana, malty and hoppy notes and a touch of horehound. Texture has good body and sassy fizz. Let this wild hare hop down your throat!

On tap @ Barleys in Knoxville. Amber pour, off-white head, some lacing. Medium hopped aroma, pine and earthy, caramel malts. Flavor is a touch tinny, then pine hops bitter offset by a malty sweetness. Decent enough but forgettable.

Pours and smells great. Looks like a winner, but it tastes like a Shiner... Just like their other beers, this one falls short in the taste and body category. I am starting to get the feeling Shiner is just catering to the pretentious beer drinker. But then again, I usually get what I pay for and this swill's cheap. FYI this little darlin will rip through your lower GI tract like a parasite on steroids. Giardia anyone? Also included, free of charge, is a throbbing headache in the morning.

Single from HEB .. . golden tan .. donut punchers .. . medium head, really impressive lacing .. . light wispy mouthfeel .. . good dose of malt, but a surprising hop gate, more of an aggressive english pale in level of hops but i actually think this was done quite well .. . . This shit is so bad, it'll put a hump on a camel's back.

Ah, the new Shiner 103rd anniv. beer, lets see, nice aromas of citrus hops and sweet bread and caramel malts. It pours a nice, clear amber body with a good head that left some real nice lace. Flavor is mostly the bready malts with the hops playing a back up role, nice for the style. Overall the folks at Shiner did a fine job on this one.
