Better than average. Schells always tastes like they have produced their oown malts. They remind me of a brighter version of old world malt. Much nicer and this one shows through. A good beer for sessions. A good beer to watch the packers with, just dont let anyone see its from Minnesota.

First time trying this style. Nice , rich amber color with a massive white fluffy head. Decent aroma and mouth feel to it. has a little more carbonation to it. taste is above average and goes down smooth. Very refreshing. Great beer but not that great. Will have again.

The final seasonal bottle in the mixed case of Schell beers. Copper orange color with a good sized beige head, small tight bubbles. Minimal lace and retention. The smell is of toasted malt, slightly sweet, some earthy hops. The flavor has more toasted malt and a balance of hops. It does have a good dose of sweet maltiness, as expected. Simple and straightforward, a decent marzen. Medium body with an acceptable mouthfeel. Good all around beer, no flaws or complaints.

Nothing more than average for an Oktoberfest beer. Reddish amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, maybe a little nutty and taste is similar. Not bad, just not great.

Pours a dark, clear amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is nutty, with hints of toast, almonds and carmel. Taste is somewhat bready, with a lighter mouthfeel then i expected. finish is slightly watery.

Amber body, with a head that quickly reduced to a thin film. Hardly any lace to speak of. The aroma was an inviting balance of malts and hops; sweet, yes, but the hops could definitely be detected in the background. The flavor was an extension of the flavor, yet the hops are a bit more pronounced here. The carbonation is fitting for the style, but the overall mouthfeel is a bit on the lighter side. Overall, this is a decent Schell offering; however, better Octoberfest renditions abound.

Nice dark ruby color. Definitely had a caramel flavor and aroma. A little bread. Fairly light like most Schell beers.

This brew had a rich amber color with a moderate head and fair lacing. Aroma-malty with a little fudge and a spicy hoppiness. Very smooth and medium bodied, lightly toasty malt and chocolate in the flavor. Nice beer, typical Schell's.

Great beer. Nice dark color with a great head to go with it. Excellent spice aroma and flavor. Wish my body could handle more than three of these though. Very filling in my opinion but worth it.
