Typical pale lager appearance, yet I do give it credit for leaving a tiny bit of lace on the glass. The aroma is very chemical and cereal-like, and the flavor is much the same. The carbonation wasn't bad at first, but it falls flat rather quickly. Yep, a typical A-B beer, and I'd recommend not wasting your money or time on this one if you haven't already.

Light gold body with a white head, of course. Some lacing, and that's always good to see. Rather balanced malt and hop aroma, yet fresher and cleaner than other German Pilseners I've had as of late. The initial flavor is a balanced combination of malts and hops, but the hops seem to quickly take over and prevail through the finish. Mouthfeel is fitting for the style; carbonation is lively, and there's a dryness in the end. This truly is a good Pilsener, and I could only imagine it being that much better on tap in Germany.

By the time this beer reaches the Midwest, it's merely an average import Pilsener. The body is golden, and the head is white. Aromas of European hops with a fair amount of hops in the background. The flavor is much the same as the aroma, yet the hops and malts remain with the senses a bit longer. The carbonation is good, but on par with what should be expected for this style. Overall, not a bad beer; it's just that one might be better off to find a Pilsener that's brewed a little closer to home, and hopefully one that can be enjoyed while fresher.

I didn't know what to expect from this beer at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. The body was a rich, brownish-reddish, and the head was rather decent. Respectable lacing. The aroma reminded me of black licorice, dark chocolate and coffee. The flavor was much the same as the aroma, yet there was an underlying sweetness that I didn't really expect. Good carbonation, and the finish was somewhat dry. Overall, an interesting beer, and I'd liken to a light, sweet porter. Hey, give it a try!

Yellow body with a head that disappeared very quickly. No lacing. The aroma was as it should be -- clean and hopppy. The flavor mimiced the aroma, yet malts appeared to keep the hops in check. The carbonation is fitting for the style, and the end is somewhat dry. Overall, this is a fine German Pilsenser, but it's imperative that you get it fresh.
