This one poured a nice amber color with a decent head. It had a dry aroma with a hint of caramel tones and a nice roasted malty flavor with a touch of dryness.

Pours a dark amber colour with a decent sized head. Mouthfeel was decent, lightly cabronated with a noticeable caramel flavor. aromas of toffee, vanilla and peanuts.

Dense cream-colored head and a cloudy amber color, but virtually no nose. Nothing to delight the tastebuds I'm afraid -- too much cardboard tongue. Not a very impressive version of this style: about as 'English' and as 'Special' as Shiner Bock.

Dark brown color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Medium bodied brown ale. Malts are caramel and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Has a strong and slightly weird flavor that I canít figure out. Once it warms up some it starts to taste more like a brown ale, but ice cold it has something kind of nasty going on. Kind of an average tasting brown ale. The finish has a touch of cardboard that kind of unpleasant. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

From a Pioneer labelled bottle. The color is a dark amber with a thin yellow head. The aroma is sweet caramel with little else. The taste is peanuts with a hint of toast. A little light for the style.

Bottle. Thanks Joseph (Degarth). More amber than brown with bubbles lining the inside of the glass and a thin beige sheen of a head. Aroma is almost disgustingly bitter with some toffee. Light fig and an almost burnt caramel flavor thats acidic and sweet. On second thought Joseph, I’m taking back my thank you. Please don’t send me anymore crappy beers. Of course I’m kidding, bro. As much as I hate to do it, I’m not going to see the bottom of the glass on this stuff. Life’s too short. Buh-bye.
