Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfilterd ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness blanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

this onw worked pretty well too, but i didn't like it as much as the new blackberry wit because a) the wheat beer underneath was not quite as good and b) the boysenberry was sweeter and slightly more cloying than the black...

Definitely my favorite of th long shots. Nice whet and fruit flavor without being overly sweet. This is one of the only fruit beers I've had that a really liked

A hazy gold brew, a little orange in deeper spots, with a very thin cap. Sweet boysenberry aroma is a little like blueberry yogurt. Wheaty mildly sweet boysenberry flavor overall, with some hops for balance. Seems a little soapy until it warms up a good bit, then some lemon is revealed.

There was a nice fruity aroma to this one....nothing powerful, but rather pleasant. It poured a cloudy amber color with lots of bubble action but little head. The taste was smooth and fruity (a berry taste) with a hint of hoppiness, too. A very good brew!

Poured a medium amber with thin white head. The brew appearred cloudy with high carbonation that made the beer quite refreshing. The boysenberry came though strongest as an aroma. The mouthfeel was active. You could feel the effervesence on your tongue. A most interesting beer.

Another good showing in the Longshot series. A fruity sweet nose, juicy boysenberries, light craker notes. Flavors is a nice combonation of berry juice and crackers with a lingering berry finish. A good beer for sure.

A cloudy yellowish orange appearance with a white head. A strong boysenberry aroma. I’m not versed on my boysenberries so if it werent for the name I would have said raspberries. The flavor is of course boysenberries and somewhat sweet with a syrupy presence. A little bit of freshly baked bread flavor is detectable. A hint of orange in the aftertaste. Just like the dortmunder longshot beer, it’s good for the style. But yet again not a top notch style.

Smells of grainy wheat and fake fruit. Light straw color, collapsing head. Watery in the mouth, some carbonation. I hate the fake fruit flavor, extracts just rub me the wrong way 95% of the time, and this was one of 'em, medicinal and flat. I'll pass on this one.

Aroma is very crisp and sweet with hints of wild berries and fruity pebbles as well as some cereal malt. Appearance is slightly cloudy and a dull, light yellow in color with a large head on top that is off-white in color and rocky and has nice head retention. Flavor is sweet and grainy with some cereal malt profiles with some biscuity overtones and has an aftertaste that tastes like sweet, wild berries with a finish that is clean, crisp and not bad. Overall, not a bad brew here but isn't too special either but very drinkable and good for the Springtime.

Not a bad fruity wheat beer for quaffing while watching the tube. I’m actually watching bullriding right now, but it’s hard to find something worth watching this time of night on a Sunday, and I’ve already seen the Scrubs and Southparks that are on. Back to the beer, I wonder if the boysenberry isn’t supplemented by artificial or less than natural flavoring. Strong berry. Not bad though.
