Pours a real dark brown colour with hardly any highlights. Nice cearmy-frothy rich beige head, great retention and lots of creamy lacing. Beautiful nose of chocolate malts, fruity yeast and roasted grain which is more of the stout-side. The taste is pretty much on the stout-side-of-things, but with a little bite from the hop in the finish. More of a good Imperial Stout with a little hop to it, than a Black IPA.
