22oz bottle -
Aroma - citrus rind and pine needles, subtle background of fruit cocktail syrup.
Appearance - clear golden body, 3-4 finger white head, medium retention, light lacing
Mouthfeel - full bodied, medium-high carbonation, tons of bubbles, perhaps too much carbonation for the style
Flavor - like drinking fresh cut grass clippings soaked in grapefruits. Toasted/caramel malts are present to balance the beer, but it is hop forward.
Overall - a tasty beverage, some really nice flavors going on here. Easy to drink. The burlap sack thing was cool. -

Bottle comes wrapped in burlap. My friend brought this back from his many trips to Sacramento. This might be one of the best APA's I've ever had. It borders on a lightweight IPA. The color is a rich amber, with minimal head, no lacing. What really makes this a stellar beer is the perfect balance of hops and malts. The caramel is exactly counterweighted by the grassy, almost piney, hops. Little to no hop aroma. The finish is a little sweet, but not lingering. I'm sure this was not cheap, but it was well-worth it.
