330 ml bottle, from Seven Cellars (discovered too late that it is now also available at Vinmonopolet). ABV is 5.6%. Crystal clear golden colour, like a pilsener. Moderate to small white head. Sweetish aroma of light malts, hints of hay, flowers, honey and newmown grass. The flavour is medium sweet, with floral and herbal hops, moderate bitterness.

500 ml capped bottle, as Rothaus Märzen Export. Poured in a seidla a clear and gold-yellow coloured Märzen wit a generous two fingers slightly beige, creamy and dense foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is solid sweety malts, bready and very pronounced notes of hay. The flavour is sweety malts and light bitter, some grain. The mouthfeel is creamy, round and smooth. The texture is oily. This medium bodied Märzen has a dry malty finish. An easy drinkable Märzen. Surely not a great beer, for me, but a decent one.

Clear yellow with white foam head. Aroma and taste is like most Oktoberfest beers, not outstanding. Had higher hopes for this beer, may be it was just not the right time to drink it. (Velp 201310)

Bottle. Golden colour with large white head. Aroma is hoppy, malty and sweet. Clean and crisp, with a dry and bitter taste. Light to medium bodied. Pretty good; for a Märzen, it is a better pilsner than a lot of pilsners.

clear pale golden colour, fine foam and a nice lacing, unpleasant oily grassy nose, sweet, quite heavy, long oily maltiness with a finishing herbal touch - quite cloying

Surprised Rothaus got bumped off the new list, it was here before with the normal Zapfle Pils. This is a damn good Marzen style bier, brewed in Ice bier fashion. The nomal Zapfle (;oosley translated as cat grenade) is 5% and this has .6% more, and 100% more flavor. This is a golded MArzen of the Deutsch style, with a full body and a hearty maltz body. This bier shames more famous Oktoberfest biersa perfect brew for Fasnet which is the local version of Mardi Gras but much older. Another great bier aus dem Hochschwarzwald.
