Comes out of the tap a pretty clear amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled ivory head. Malty aroma has a dusty hint of fruit, not much more. Robust flavor is malty and fruity, not complex but still bold and mouth-filling, having an almost cider-like finish. Texture has average firmness and fizz. A good beer to enjoy at a party, while watching sports, or with dinner, as the description says.

A golden colored beer with a small two fingered sudsy textured off white head rising briefly above. A moderate ringlet and persistent cap are left. A light malty nose. Light malt and hopoed tasting. An easy drink. Effervescent.

Not sure how they are calling this "craft" beer. Macro...not quite swill. OK for summer brew but that's about it. Bland flavor...mostly water and corn. Resemblance more of a pale lager.

I picked this beer up from the Kroger on Brambleton Rd. in Roanoke, Virginia. It was part of a mixed case. This beer was the best of the case in my opinion. A easy, not overly agressive IPA. A nice all around beer. Primary notes were pines and grasses.

It's a decent, agreeable beer that I would use for session drinking. I'm not a sports guy, so this whole 'audible, crushable, passion bucket, dan patrick show' marketing thing doesn't work for me. Marketing aside, I think it's Redhook's best beer today - but that's not saying a lot. Their ESB in the early 90's was one of the best craft beers ever. Sadly, today's ESB is a shadow of its former self, and nothing else they put out comes close to their old ESB. Sad, I see the 'Redhook' logo and I'm still nostalgic. But today they're a ho-hum brewery. Hyping this average brew as some kind of sports-related collaboration - I just don't get it. It's an okay beer, a decent drink - from a company that used to make one of the best beers of all time.
