Fish Paralyzer is a Belgian-style pale ale that is moderately hopped with Tradition and Saaz. The grain bill calls for a combination of specialty malt to produce its sweetness and copper color. The Belgian Ale yeast used provides a strong Belgian essence to Phenolic and spicy flavors and aromas.

when I think Belgian Pale ale, there are some really nice american versions that are the bar. Ommegang BPA and Green Flash Rayon Vert. Unfortunately, this beer did not even slightly resemble either. Dark for a pale, belgian or otherwise. Hops were absolutely buried under muddled malt and a hint of spice. Very light belgian presence and even lighter on the hops. Love the name, wanted to love the beer, but it was a bit of a confused mess, and tasted and smelled like it may be past its prime, though no date was on the bottle. Shared bottle, still didn't finish.

Great name great label. Ruby amber/brown pour with a short head that reduces to a constant cream colored cap leaving spotty lacing. Malty aroma upfront with some spces and pepper then some Belgianesque yeasts and light spicy hops. Taste is equal to the aroma with a nice malty presence offset and balanced by a decent dose of lightly spiced hops, Nice beer.

Pours a nice brown with a low head. Aroma is malty and a bit spicy. Mouthfeel is smooth malty with a light hoppiness. Flavor is malty with a bit of pepper and hops. All around good and drinkable!
