Perhaps, the most bitter Pale Ale brewed in San Diego. The judges seem to think it's a nice IPA. Whatever you want to call it, we like it too! One of the best selling beers in Solana Beach. Enjoy a pint and savor the citrus flavors of the bittering hops and the maltiness of our ale strain.

A huge thanks to Slowrunner77 for this beer. What a fantastic IPA. Citrusy and clean but light and easy to drink. A bit yellow, but a wonderful beer. Many thanks!

An American Pale Ale that I don't give a lot of credit to, perhaps only due to the fact that Pizza Port makes such an awesome array of IPA's, Double IPA's, Belgian-style beers, etc. But when it comes to more mundane and routine Session beers such as this, Pizza Port's Ponto Pale Ale is definately no slouch.
A little on the fizzy-yellow side of things. But what this beer lacks in appearence, in makes up ground with both the aroma and the flavor profile.
Quite sturdy and yet approachable. That is to say, this is no Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but, at the same time, it's not so esoteric as to be too arcane for routine drinking. No, the beer's inherent balnced bitterness and maltiness all coincide with the fact that this is not all that "huge"..., and thus is meant to be actually pretty damn drinkable. Not with a little amount of surprise, it delivers on this promise.
A balanced West Coast American Pale Ale -- yes, such things do exist once and a great while. And while this is not really what I would call a ground-breaking beer, it's still nice to find a solid, repeat-visit Session Pale Ale once and a while...

It first tastes to me like another over the top San Diego IPA, but NO. Hop aroma, sweet candy taste and bitter IPA finish. How isn't this an IPA?

Most bitter pale ale in SD? I dont know about that but good all the same. A dark orange color with a citrusy and hoppy nose. A good amount of malt balancing out the hops. A strong grapefruit presence in this one. Quite acidic and bitter aftertaste. Oh yeah!

This pale ale pours with a deep amber body topped by a medium thick, off-whtie head with good lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet slightly bitter and malty with a slight citrusy hoppiness. The flavor is slighlty sweet to start but turns bitter, slighlty citrusy, slightly piney and hoppy, but not overwhelmingly so. Medium bodied, relatively smooth and dry.

Fruity, almost kool-aid like aroma, reddish/amber color, somewhat hoppy flavor but pretty mellow on the hops for a pale ale, slight hoppy aftertaste...decent but nothing spectacular
