This pale ale is generously hopped yet balanced through the use of Munich and Crystal malts. Hops added after fermentation gives this American classic an intense aromatic bouquet. Enjoy!

great pale ale verging on an ipa. Piney 3Cs hops, Good lacing, good head, yet nowhere on the bottle does it say pale ale, just ale. O'so appears to be the doctor bronners soap of brewing, not trying to be stereotyped, they go on and on about their great beer with actually telling you what it is.

Form phishpond via The Hooteneanny: copper gold pour, slightly murky. Decent off white head and lacing. Floral hops aroma, very slight pine, more floral, some honeysuckle and lightly sweet malts. Taste is interestingly floral hopped bitter, with a decent dose of malts to cut the bitter. Almost like a weak English-style IPA, but the floralness is just a bit offsetting. Still worth a try - Thanks Travis.

Copper in color with thick lacing and a foamy head. Faint aroma of sticky hops, caramel and mild evergreen.....aromas are in there but you gotta dig deep. Thick up front, but soon delves into a lightly watery finish all the while providing a flavor profile of toffee, herbal hops, minor citrus and pine with a strange buttery after taste. More bitter than the aroma and flavor would let on.

Sampled from bottle. Many thanks to Phishpond. Pours clear copper with a frothy off-white head. Subtle floral, citrus hops and sweet malt aroma. Straightforward flavor with some a small dose of caramelized malt and American hops. Pleasant and easy to drink. A well-made APA. The bottle over-advertises the hop character of the ale, but if you disregard the ad, as a beer geek, I'd bet most beer drinkers would consider this a good go-to beer to swill with friends.

Amber gold with thin white head, aroma is grapefruit and a little malt. Mouthfeel is a little thick for an IPA and the flavor is underwhelming and slightly watery, not enough hops to really qualify as an IPA in my opinion.

Pours a hazy orange with a huge fluffy head. Aroma is all pine and citrusy hops. Hops show thru in the taste but there is also a tartness (almost sour--infected?) that dominates the flavor. Not sure if the tartness was intentional but it makes for a sour finish. Interesting.

Clear orange body with a thin off-white head. Aromas of bread and flowers. Smooth thinnish mouthfeel. Light flavors of soft malt and citrus with a slightly salty taste. Ends tart with just a mild bitterness. The hops are quite understated, both in the aroma and the taste.

Not your typical pale ale is all i can say about this one. Aroma is earthy, floral- a decent orange colour with a medium sized white head. But taste is very unique. Enjoyable, but stretching it. grapefruit notes otherwise noticeably hoppy in the finish.
