Bottle. Mondial de la Bière 2009. Poured a dark brown colored ale with a small beige foamy head that had a good retention. No lacing. The aroma is smoked malts, sweet dark raisins, coffee, chocolate. The flavour is smoked malts, notes of nuts and spices, vanilla. The palate is very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a dark chocolate finish. A complex beer that derserve a quieter tasting condition.

Black colour, brown small head. Roasted malt, coffee in aroma. Flavour is burnt and roasted malts with some hints of coffee and caramel. Finish roasted malt. Pleasant one!

pours a pitch black colour under a strong and creamy brown tainted head; nice lacing; powerful roasted aroma of mocha and cocoa, notes of nut in the background; oily and very smooth in the mouth with a late effervescence, moderate malt body; long dry and bitter roasted coffeish aftertaste - a bit one-dimensional but a strong character

On tap at The Rover, Göteborg. Pitch black colour, creamy tan head. Lovely roasty aroma with strong notes of dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is very roasty with strong notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate. A very good beer!

Pours out almost black, some brown and ruby hints. Rocky beige head that just don't want to dissapear... Soft coffee aroma, hints of salty butter with mellow chocolate. Strong flavour of sweet coffee, seasalt, minerals and butter. Soft mouthfeel with a gentle carbonation. Long, smooth aftertaste of roasted coffee beans, butter and minerals. Quite mellow beer. I'll stick with the barrel-aged one.
