There have been a few different suppliers of malt beverages in Nynäshamn and vicinity during the 1900's. Water Factory Lighthouse, H. Andrén Ångbryggeri later Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri and Ösmo Brewery is the name that we have run on in our work to identify the brewing industry in the locality. Water Factory Lighthouse filed only water and lemonade but lost the beer from Gustaf Piehl and Green Walls breweries in Stockholm. This beer was delivered in five hundred gallon wooden barrels and then bottled in the lighthouse premises at Market Hall, which now Swan Pond school is located. Tapping was also at the defeat which was located on Central Street 24th Ösmo Brewer filed only small beer brewed and never beer. It has been very difficult to obtain information on this brewery, but we know it was a brewer from Grängesberg named Thorsell, who took over the operations of Älgviken 1926th The brewery survived as long as the late forties, maybe longer still without leaving any significant traces. H Andrén Ångbryggeri, located at Bryggargatan 7, began operations in 1912 and produced small beer, water and lemonade to begin with. Later the name was changed to Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri beer and Class II were obtained. 1926 purchased the brewery by Gustaf Piehl brewers because of contemporary rules that you had to have a brewery established in the place where you divesting its beer. In practice, it served only as a defeat for the Stockholm brewery. 1929 beer production was down and only so-called defense was brewing, that is brewed once a year to show that the equipment was intact.
