Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is licorice, oak, some vanilla and bunch of nuts. Also chocolate and some mild roasted notes. Flavour is much the same along with some caramel and mild buttery notes.

A huge thanks to sk8viking for bottle number 172. This pours jet black with a thin white head. What immediately hits you is the very strong coffee aroma. The body of the beer is surprising light. This beer is very drinkable. The only thing I really didn't like was a slightly lactic aftertaste.

Bottled. Black with big rocky white beige head. Roasted coffee, salt, wood and dark chocolte in aroma. Wonderful deep and smooth flavour of black coffee, dark chocolate, tar, whiskey and marzipan. Long intense finish otar, smoke and coffee. Truely a great beer!

bottled, 5.9%; thanks to Per for this bottle and to fiulijn for sharing it - almost black colour, the original brown-tainted head disappears instantly, slightly toasted, coffe aroma, notes of nougat, medium-bodied at best with a dry roasted coffeish finish and moderate bitterness - very subtle

2004... Poured a mahogany brownish red color with a thin, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Super complex aroma of smoke, chocolate, roasted malts, and red wine. Taste of smoke, chocolate, light vanilla, and dry roastiness in the finish. Mouthfeel was a little thin.
