Off Grid Pale Ale is a wonderful interpretation of the classic pale ale style. It has a distinctly deep amber color and great character and body. Three varieties of hops provide a wonderful aroma and a citrus and spicy hop flavor. This smooth gluten-free ale is made from sorghum and brown rice extract, molasses, tapioca maltodextrin, caramel color, hops, and yeast. As part of New Planet Beer’s Mission, each of our labels is named after a concept that helps “do good things” for the planet.’Off Grid’ means living in a self-sufficient manner without the reliance on public utilities like gas and electric. Alternative and renewable energies like solar, geothermal and wind are becoming more and more available and affordable. So, if we can help influence people to become aware of their usage of fossil fuels for heating and powering their homes and take steps to reduce that load, the better off our planet will be. New Planet Beer will donate a portion of our proceeds from the sale of Off Grid Pale Ale to non-profit organizations promoting alternative energy education. Pours a clear copper with a modest and effervescent head. Aroma is not strong; has herbal, hoppy and floral hints. Flavor has yeasty and bready notes, a fruity hint not great but palatable. Texture has average viscosity and not much fizz. One of these days, somebody is going to figure out how to brew a decent gluten-free beer.

the hops are the show here, and i admit i kinda dig how they interact with the otherwise generic tasting corn adjuncty flavor and aroma. i'd drink this if offered. a touch of yeast with the citrus. ok beer.

A bright amber colored beer with a small soapy textured white head that rises all too briefly. There's no lacing. The profile, lighter in the nose is caramel, sweet oranges, and a strong presence of citroc and grassy hops. The tasting is resfreshing. A light-medium body and smooth.

It pours a light amber and copper color witha a very thin light-tan head and some spots of lacing. An aroma of caramelized sorghum malts, cola, light hops, orange, bread and yeast, and light spice. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of the sorghum malts, hops, bread and yeast, light cola, oranges and citrus, light molasses, and spices. Excellent and powerful with the flavors.
