Pours clear topaz with a good buff head. Aroma provides fresh malt and bits of apple and resiny hops. Flavor offers fresh malt, zesty apple and subtle hops. Texture brings fair fizz and body. Drink from this horn.

Another beer I can't believe I forgot to review, I drink a bunch of these every year. It's a go to fest beer in these parts, a lot of German brewing tradition around here and this is a strong example and an annual favorite.

I could drink this all day if such an opportunity arose, however I thoroughly enjoyed the bottle I received from heybeerman. A true festbier in regards to drinkability and character. Lighter on the Vienna then many of the American offerings, but a pleasant caramel and nuttiness shone through. Minor hint of biscuit with butter followed by plain cereal and grassy hops. Soft and easy, lighter in body and very clean. Amber~copper colour with a creamy head and spotty lacing. Once you delve into this Oktoberfest, it's mild complexity shines.

For the style and type of beer it is it's second only to the Sam Adam's Octoberfest. A very good beer with a medium strength taste and smooth aftertaste. It's lighter than the SA but can hold it's own with me any time. I'm not a huge fan of New Glarus stuff, but this one is a keeper!

light in body and color, but has a nice roasted toasted malt backbone and crisp hoppy finish. not a standout, like so many new glarus beers, but a good beer nonetheless.

consolidating this review from 2 sets of notes and tastings. 12oz bottles from pfoxyjohn and BeerHunter. pours a copper color with a small/med head, disappears to a thin ring with some lacing. aroma is fruit and a little caramel. taste is lightly hopped, fruit and caramel, but not very sweet. good carbonation. mouthfeel is full. nice oktoberfest beer.

Not really a fan of the style, but here goes.... Smells of caramel, spice, and aged malt. Amber with small head and lot of lacing. Tastes of bitter aged spices. Not too distinct of an offering for me to be impressed.

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. Pours a brownish-red with a small white head. Sweet malt aroma with a bit of a floral smell. The taste isn't anything to get excited about. Not bad at all, just an ok beer.

Bottle from bockyhorsey. Amber shaded straw, decent sudsy heat and lacing. Aroma of pils malts, grassy and bready notes. Flavor was stark pilsner-like, although toasted elements and bread were also present. The mouthfeel was full bodied, malty-hardy, balancing carbonation. Thanks, Bill!
