Rated March 2009. 0.75L bottle pours a clear blood red with white head. Smells like sugar soaked sweet cherries simmering over the stove. Wow! Awesome aroma. Freshly picked perfectly ripe cherries. The flavor starts with hints of tartness and sour yeast that quickly get consumed by sweet and tart ripe cherries fresh from the cherry tree. It gets sweeter and sweeter and richer and richer before some sourness comes back into play. Great tasting brew. Wow!

Pours clear reddish amber with a thick and fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma has a strong overtone of fresh cherries. Sweet and sour cherry dominates the flavor but lets through peeps of malt and wood. Firm texture has lively fizz and leaves a nice cherry finish. Cheers for cherries!

Pours a semi-transparent, hazy red/brown with a minimal head that goes away almost instantly. Aroma is extremely heavy of tart cherries with a hint of medicinal properties. Taste is very tart of cherries and has a slap of fizz on the tongue. Finishes off semi dry and not much aftertaste. Slight burn on the way down. Very good for the style and it is something that would appeal to more a wine drinker than a beer drinker. Very good beer.

Quite possibly the finest beer brewed in America today by opne of the country's top brewers. If you hate fruit beers, or if you hate cherries........this beer will change your mind. Quite unlike a Flanders Red or a Kriek, this beer melds both the sweetness and tartness of the Wisconsin cherry and marries them to malted wheat. Very sessionable and refreshing.

Finally found something I can have instead of cherry pie on a hot summer day. The major flavor is Door County Cherries with a hint of malt and a hint belgian yeast. No hops that that I detected. The body is great. This more like cherry pie than beer, but surprising UNLIKE cherry wine. which not only loses its cherry flavor but also is LOADED with sulfites (blaach!!). Great for a wedding gift for both beer lover and non-beer lover alike.

Hands down the best fruit beer I've had to date. Not at all what I expected and more like a "soda-pop" than anything else, but without losing the qualities of being a beer. Tart sweet sour cherry. This is just beautiful.

A gift from a friend who lives in Racine. She told my wife some sob story about how hard it was to get. Anyway, glad she got it. A beautiful reddish pour, the cherry slaps you in the face, in a good way. It really is a battle between the tart and sweet cherry flavors that wins the day. If I have one complaint, it is that it's a tad thin.

Wow, I don't like fruity beer...this is it's own monster. Very well done all around. Not over the top fruity or sweet, very well balanced and easy drinking. You almost can't describe this one...you have to try it.

This one will change your mind about fruit beer if you're not a huge fan. Simply superb! Thanks, bluesandbarbq. The aroma is of the sweet/tartness of cherries - the real deal - not some fake kid's cough medicine stuff. Fluffy white head on a nice carbonation. Lacing abounds. Deep, rich color - a beauty to behold.

Aroma of tart, ripe cherries, but not overly so. Rocky, one-finger head with nice lacing. Smooth, medium-bodied and slightly over-carbonated. Flavor of tart cherries and a slightly dry, cherry aftertaste (similar to flavored tonic water). A great fruit beer that I'd like to try again.
