  • Brooklyn Ale (Pennant Ale)
    rated 3.6 4 years ago

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

This mixture of Old World meets New World pale ale pours a nice copper color with a thin white bubbly head. There is a lot of citrus in the aroma, along with bready malts and yeast. Mouthfeel is average. Taste is well balanced between the sweet bready malt notes and the bitter citrusy hop notes. Will certainly try again.

  • Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
    rated 4.6 4 years ago

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

The pour is solid black, some nice viscosity, and a dark brown creamy head which lasts a long time and leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, some hints of dark chocolate and black licorice, and some coffee. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. The taste is dark bitter chocolate with some vanilla sweetness thrown in. The finish is very very bitter.

  • Black Bottom Brewing Brave Ulysses

    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

The pour is a clear gold with mahogany highlights and weak filmy white head. Aroma is biscuit malt, light citrus, and light caramel. Mouthfeel is average. Taste is balanced between citrus hops and caramel malts. Not bad but not something to seek out.

The pour is a very dark brown, with a creamy light brown cap. Lacing is good. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is average, maybe some slight creaminess. Taste is sweet malty notes with a hint of molasses and followed by bitter dark chocolate and coffee.

  • 1809 Berliner Style Weisse
    rated 3.4 4 years ago

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

The pour is gold, very hazy, and topped with a loose white head. Lacing is minimal. Aroma is tart fruits, light wheat, yeast, and funk. Weak mouthfeel, but not watery. Taste is puckeringly sour to start, but the finish has a little sweetness from the wheat.
