Moylan's Tipperary Pale Ale

This poured a copper color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, caramel, pine. Flavor is bitter but well balanced. Oranges, lemons, and caramel present. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter. Overall this is a good beer.

A nice good utility pale ale. Not too bitter, sorry hopheads, medium body that makes it a good refreshing beverage to enjoy either with a meal of by its self.

I seem to pass by the Moylan’s section most of the time, thinking that I’ve tried everything that they have. But in the mood for something easy to quaff for the MNF game, I got a bomber of this. Suprised to see I haven’t rated. I suppose I thought wrong. <

The beer pours out a dark orange/light copper body with a nice tight 1" white head. Aroma was piney out of the pour, but some really nice tropical fruits show up and hits it’s stride. Obviously not the freshest bottle, but the hops still showed up. Light caramel and bready notes really meshed with the herbal/piney hops. Highly drinkable and the bomber was gone before the end of the 1st quarter. Glad I picked it up.

Pours a hazy orange with a lingering white head. Can't hardly detect any bitterness in the aroma--mostly sweet malt notes. Taste is malty at first with a slightly bitter finish. Overall, not my favorite pale ale by far--not enough hops evident in taste or aroma for my liking.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange (yeasty on second pour) with a thin white head that quickly diminishes.

The aroma is sweet sugary malts and melon with a little earthy floral hops.

The flavor is sweet sugary melon with a touch of hops in the finish. It's rather washed out and bland with some metallic and vegetal notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery with low carbonation.

Overall, a little too sweet for me, and not enough hops and a bit bland and off.

great malt backbone hides, and balances very well, the big hop presence. another pale ale done well by the moylans family. very good. recomended, especially if you like the style.

It’s a long way to the bottom of this bottle of Tipperary bomber. Hoppy orangey smell. Oh my, all kinds of big chunks in the pour from the bottom of the bottle in my huge tumbler. Large rocky head. Was clear at first but, now cloudy from sediment. The flakey pepper size chunks chunks rise with the carbonation then fall to the bottom of the glass again only to be picked up and rising again later, what a show and its entertaining. Initial the bitterness is less than expected, but still bitter. Decently creamy carbonation which is fine and bubbly. Has some nice attributes about it if I can get over the mildly annoying hops. Pretty nice overall experience. I think I even have shades of orval peering thru at times. However, that slightly aggravating bitterness keeps popping its little head up in the finish. One of the better APAs IMHO. That sediment on the bottom is a little scary and I’m not sure if I should consume it or not! S4l5f3t4o9

Dark orange-copper pour producing a HUGE frothy white head that stuck around and left a thick blanket of lacing...Nice! Mild grapefruit aroma with a hearty dose of malt, lemon and evergreen scents are easily noticed. Mild mouthfeel, nice and malty. Well hopped for an APA countered by the rich malt content. Flavors of citrus and pine kept the flavor right in line with the great aroma. This one seems stuck in limbo between an APA & IPA. There is a lingering bitterness, this one comes across as over-hopped for it's style although it's still a great beer.

Wow a very unique brew. When i saw Pale ale I was expecting a brew that had a very little kick or uniqueness but that one was quite the contrary. It packed a good punch and poured dark amber brown with lots of carbonation. Had a very hoppy taste similar to an IPA. Worth a try.. Oh and its extremely carbonated as it took 30 mins and lots of sips to get it to pour the 22oz.

How is that I keep on forgetting about Moylan's? I mean, their IPA is great, their Double IPA is so good, and many of their beers are top-notch. So why do I pass buy such gems as their Pale Ale? A very good question, and something I should remember next time I'm grabbing bottles left and right at Keg & Bottle.

A bit of an overcarbonation problem at first, that I account more toward uneven handling and distribution than any specific fault with the beer itself. Pours nice, with a very pleasant aroma -- a bit differrent from many West Coast Pale Ales. In fact, right off the bat this reminds me of Highland Brewing Company's excellent Gaelic Ale, with it's complex ratio of malt-to-hops. Same deal here, IMO. This isn't your standard Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone, that's for sure.

Very satisfying, and something I plan on buying again soon. Recommended.
