More apple in the nose and flavor than the traditional banana. Pleasant lightly fruity, spicy aroma with some toasted malt. Flavor much the same. Would have liked it far more than most if it wasn't an intense gusher... I got about 200 ml out of the bottle :(

Swing top 500ml bottle @Bearden Beer Mrkt Oktoberfest: Slightly cloudy brown pour with a tight cream colored head and some lacing. Molasses sweet malts, slightly toasted, then some very light hops in the aroma. Taste is the same: sweetened and toasted malts, not much weiss that I can detect; decent.

Pours a clear golden brown with a fairly thick pale tan head that hangs around for a little. Aroma is malty with a strong overtone of fruit, mainly apple, and a hint of spice. Flavor is malty and a little fruity, not very well rounded but still acceptable. Texture is quite fizzy, just a bit on the watery side, but it leaves behind a decent tingle. Overall, not too shabby.

sampled on 7/2/10. 500ml bottle with mitch. pours a hazy medium brown color. big foamy head. everything is different about this. a wheat beer with roasty malts. spicy, a little hop bitterness and a hint of tart/funk. im not sure what yeast is used but im not getting the normal banana/clove of a dunkel/hefe. body is medium. as the name implies, this is something of a cross between a schwarzbier and a dunkelweizen. its interesting and worth a try. rating to reflect the interesting hybrid.

Sampled on 7/2/2010. This dunkel pours a medium dark brown color from a .5l swing-top bottle. Large sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is wheaty and spicy, with a touch of spiciness. A light to medium bodied dunkel. The malts are slightly roasty, wheaty and cereal. The hops are spicy and a touch earthy. A touch of funkiness maybe, and some fruitiness. A mild and mellow tasting dunkel. Decent carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a touch of tartness.

This beer pours with a organge-brown body. Not as dark as I’d expect a dunkle. In to the glass arop that body sits a deep tan head with some decent staying power. The aroma is fruit, like banana with some spice. Some metal in the nose and taste. And I think that metallic appearance is the bitterness that makes this an unpleasant quaff.

Pours a clear almond colour with a pretty large tan head. Aroma is faint nutty with a hint of honey. Mouthfeel is well carbonated, but slightly watery and dissapointing for the most part. Taste is way too light for its style- ecspecially since it's labeled as a dark wheat. Way too weak.

Whereas the regular weissbier was mellow and pleasant, there’s a distinct sourness that isn’t pleasant. Maybe a little sulfuric. It’s one of those things that will get easier to drink as you go, but I’d not recommend this one at all.

Interesting beer, nothing grand regarding a dunkel weizen. Acidic aroma slightly sour, a touch of wheat and some mild fruitiness. Real light brown pour, huge fizzy head that settles, not much lacing to speak of. Mouthfeel is light, finish is weak. Flavor is very similar to their Hefeweizen, sour fruit and applesauce. I enjoyed the regular hefe much more than this.

(Had it as Moosbacher Dunkle Weisse, but according to a bit of research, it's the same beer with different names). Dark brown, hazy, colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is yeast, slight banana and "brie"-type of cheese. Flavour is wheat, sour dark fruits and some spices.
