A hoppy pale ale using plenty of cascade hops from the west coast. The name implies that we make in the style that is appreciated around here in the mid-west. This beer was first made in a few small test batches in 2003. The response was so incredibly positive, that we are going to give a full shot at being our summer seasonal.

The last time I went to Iowa, I was told that this beer was on hiatus, sad as I always enjoyed this beer. Great name, and a great balance between the caramel malt, and the newfangled American hops. Finish was a tad dry, but a great beer for a day of drinkin'

Finally found an Iowan beer, and I'm very pleased with the results. Pretty average in appearance, with a thin head and minimal lacing, but an attractive, bright copper color. Aroma is also not very remarkable, mostly malts with a very slight citrus hoppiness. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, and sweetly coating, with a pleasant level of carbonation. However, the flavor is really what makes this a beer to return to: Not hugely hopped like most APA's (which I do love), but rather very nicely balanced with a sweet malt top flavor, and a subtly hopped bitter finish. I'd happily keep a handful of these beers in stock, and most certainly will get more on my next trip over to Brennan's in Brookfield.

A dark orange appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is very nice with some lemons, oranges, and grapefruits. The flavor is smooth and crisp with a nice hoppy background. Some pine notes exist with lemons, oranges, and grapefruit flavas. Im reallt digging APAs of late. And this one is really nice.

Medium amber color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, sweet and touch of caramel and some hops. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Touch of orange. Hops are citrus and pine. Seems to be a little touch of cardboard as well. A little distracting to the overall taste of the beer. Nice balance. Fairly standard tasting APA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Came in a cool one liter bottle with a stopper. Has a dark red color and a slightly yellow head. Strong aroma of flowers, oranges and maple. The taste is more subtle. It has orange peels, bread and a little pepper spice. This is a great offering from Millstream. Would make a great session beer if they would put this in 12 oz. bottles. Which, they now do. I originally had this in a cool 1 liter swing top. This has gotten even better in recent batches.

pours a copper cloudy color. Has an average head with aver lacing. Has a citrus smell to it and a bitter hoppy bite to it. Has an awful aftertaste that lingers forever

Pours a rich copper color and a soft off-white cloudy head with great retention. very bubbly and quenching. Some soapy scents here. Pink grapefruit, orange and apricot flavors. light resiny bitterness in the aftertaste has some herbal, perfumey essenses. overall quite drinkable

hazy translucent copper color, pours nicely with a cheery effervescence; aroma of citrus hops that translates into something a little bitter in the throat. This is a pretty good pale ale!
