Pale Ale's on the coasts of this country are turning into hoppy monsters, but our beer is more mild, and about balance. It has enough bitterness to match the maltiness provided by the pale malt base. It gets its citrus zing from extensive dry-hopping with Cascade hops. This beer was first made in a few small test batches in 2003. The response was so incredibly positive, that it has worked it’s way into a year round beer. A hoppy IPA in the central plains... how exciting!

Pours a very hazy dark orange with big off white frothy head. Grapefruit, hay, caramel on the nose. Very smooth with light carbonation, sweet caramel notes through to the finish. Hints of grassy hops without too much bitterness. Very well balanced.

Another fine Wisconsin beer from amigo phishpond. Nice amber yellow pour with a tight and tall white and very nice lacing. Sweet malts and clean, mild piney and grapefruit hops in the pleasant aroma. Taste is really very smooth and mild with an upfront malt sweetness and a decent mild hops balance. Nice APA - thanks Travis

Pours a bright translucent orange-amber colour with a full foamy white head. Lots of froth (which i liked) and nice amount of resinous lacing. Aroma was noticeably malty for an APA. Taste was pretty sweet with a firm rich maltiness running through it. Finished up a little stale on the hop side. Maybe an old bottle? Maybe just an unbalanced APA.

Another solid offering from millstream, A nice hop aroma of grapefruit, and some floral notes. A mid amber body, average carbonation, thin head, o.k. lace. Flavor was spicy citrus with a good malt backbone. Overall it was a really nice pale ale. Thanks for the beer uncle Clarence!

Got to try this brewery fresh on our trip to Amana. Dark golden color, one inch of white foam. Nice amount of carbonation thin lace lines. This beer had a good flavor, spicy and grapefruit hoppiness, just enough malt to balance. Went down extremely well on a very hot afternoon, easily could have sat on the deck / biergarten and had another. A solid, hoppy APA - might put some IPAs to shame.
