Courtesy of HOPSHUNTER. It pours murky dark copper with off white head. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee, some chili pepper heat and spiced apple. The taste is a pleasing mix of spicy and earthy hops as well as coffee and dark roasted malts. This comes together very nicely.

Bottle shared by SuperDave at RBWG 2011, thanks
Appearance: Clear golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing
Aroma: Tart fruits, citrus
Taste: Fruity, citrus with a sweet malty finish
A coffee IPA, who would have thunk it. Mikkeller, that’s who. No real color or taste of coffee, but a nice tart IPA. Very drinkable -

On tap at Grünerløkka Brygghus. Amber with an off-white head. Intense aroma of fresh coffee with hops, caramel, malt and hints of fruit. Nice marriage between coffee and IPA. Quite different, but very refreshing. (2012-07-27)

Medium sized tan head with fair retention and an ok lace. A bit hazy amber color. Nose is different, citrusy notes with light spent coffee grains and some mild malt notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, mildly resinous. Neat flavors of grapefruit, coffee, light roast and a hint chocolatey with some caramel maltiness too. Finish is dry, roasty hoppy. Interesting brew. Pours a hazy honey-golden with a thick, off-white head. Strong aroma is predominantly hoppy - but not a hint of coffee. Strongly hoppy, evergreen flavor is quite pleasing and satisfies my liking for hoppy beers - but where’s the coffee? Never mind, it’s a good IPA nonetheless. Texture is fiercely tingly and fizzy.

murky amber orange pour, off white head. colder, the aroma is more sweet malts and hops and very little coffee. First sip is bitter up frint, especially grapefruit. Ample malts, and a long lasting bittersweet coffee finish that would end up being my favorite thing about this beer. More balanced aroma as it warms, though i started cool (not cold). REALLY cool when the coffee and hops come out in equal measure. It doesn't hurt that this would be a decent IPA apart from the coffee either. The only bad part? A bit steep...

750ml bottle .. . Pours a light to medium amber .. good foam .. . sap, light honey, and dirty resin .. . where's the coffee? ..overpriced and a letdown.. . kind of muddled also .. . Out and Roger!!

330 ml bottle, Cardinal & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.9%. Amber colour, slightly hazy. Large off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of coffee and powerful Tomahawk hops, an unusual combination. The flavour has a considerable sweetness, followed up by strong notes of coffee and resinous and fruity hops. The combination feels kind of weird, but on the other hand: Why not?

Slightly strange off the start. Really really bitter orange, old stale partly fermenting grapefruit juice from concentrate, many adjectives in a row on that one. Slightly new/wet pine cones. The only real coffee note is the texture of cold coffe, not so much a taste, more of a mouthfeel. When I press my tounge to the roof of my mouth its more prevelant there. Some lavender maybe. Not a high quality beer.

I have my doubts about this one, coffee and heavy citrus hops don’t mix in my mind but I’ll give this a try. Golden brown with a thin but long lasting cap what is thick at edges of glass. looks nice looking I guess. Aroma is heavy, strange, odd, interesting, good, and off putting all at the same time. Sweet hazel nut coffee with massive peachy hop and a slight pepper nose burn. I both like and dislike this aroma. Aroma is starting to remind me of raspberry chocolates….I’m not a fan of those. Taste be thin and has tons of fizz. Bitter earthy coffee with grapefruit and chocolate. Blech… cirrus coffee is wrong. Hitting some pretty heavy astringent on some sips but that just might be the massive bitter finish this beer has. Coffee and hops together at last…….kind of glad they tried it….interesting experiment……………..but………….FAIL!!!
