Understanding what they are doing here is important, they are trying to distinguish different hops, that said, not a bad beer but I don't think Cascade in this small volume is enough to make this a great beer. Great way to find the different profiles of hops though, so well worth the education.

330 ml capped bottle, as Cascade Single Hop IPA and a 6.9 % ABV. Poured an unfiltered hazy orange mid-brown coloured IPA with a short two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Mild carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is aromatic flowery and citrussy hops, caramel malts, juicy fruits, grapefruits, oranges. The flavour is strong aromatic resinous hops on a caramel malty backbone, notes of honey ( ? ), fruity, oranges, grapefruits, citrus, pineapples. The mouthfeel is rich and very smooth. This medium to full bodied IPA has a lingering aromatic hops bitter finish. A nice and tasting IPA.

This is only my second from this stellar Danish brewery. So my expectation is heightened. And this delivers. An amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head supported by high carbonation. It stays around awhile and settles an impressively thick film and decent ringlet. The nose and tasting are hops, but not in an overpowering way. Citrus and floral. Some bitterness on the tongue, which I like. A creamy IPA, sorry I only have one bottle.

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey color ale witha large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and bitter hops with a dry finish. Taste is somewhat astringent with some notes of citrus and a bitter finish. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting but kind of confirm that Cascade is a hops that is better used as part of a mix but too harsh by itself.

330 ml bottle, as Mikkeller Cascade Single Hop IPA, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.9%. Deep golden to orange colour, big and lasting off-white head. Lovely aroma of Cascade hops, with the typical grapefruity and pney notes. The flavour is again typical Cascade (in plentiful quantities) from start to finish, lots of grapefruit, pine needles and resin. A nearly Campari-like (wormwood) bitterness in the finish. Some malty sweetness does its best to balance some of the hoppiness. Has enough hops to satisfy hardcore hopheads - I would have been satisfied with less, even though I love Cascade.

Hazy muddy orange appearnce with a low tan head. Fresh hoppy citric cascade aroma. Orange-peels and lemon in flavour. Soft mouthfeel. Quite bitter grapefruity finish but not enough. Still, this is a well-crafted beer nontheless.

Poured a hazy copper color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, bubblegum, toffee, grapefruit, citrus fruits, some bubblegum, and apricots. Taste was sweet, some bubblegum, toffee, grassy hops, citrus fruits, and a medium bitter, grapefruit finish.
