Very hoppy and strong. Bit more of a bite to it than alot of IPA's I've tried which tend to be more on the sweet side, in more of a pale ale style. Very tasty if you like hoppy beer. Definite bitter beer face.

Poured a cloudy amber color, ok initial head, weak lacing for the style. The aroma was sloppy caramel, some weird candy-like nasty off aroma, butyric aromas. The flavor was diacetyl (never a good thing), caramel, slight citrus, just brutally nasty rancid and acidic, very astringent. Mouthfeel was acidic, a foul funk IPA.

Nice, clear copper body is topped off by an ample, but not too big, head. Very floral hops in the nose, a bit of citrus, but really more like a rose garden. There’s also a bit of butter mixed in with that. The malt profile has a nice bit of caramel. Actually with the malt profile and the butter, this really comes across as a very British IPA, except for the fact it’s a good bit hoppier than the typical modern Brit IPA.

Poured amber in color with thick, bubbly head. Nice orange color. A bit fruitty with hops taste that doesn’t last too long.

This was poured for me at the hops fest. Golden color nice hoppy nose and taste. It had a bitter finish which took away from the experience, The head was white and medium in body. Not my favorite MA but enjoyable

Middle Ages IPA is worth a try. Quality product, but who am I to tell you whether it's better or worse than the IPA which you prefer? I like it better than Saranac IPA or Pale Ale, which are also good. I'm less impressed with Lake Placid 46'er. Not bad product, just not my style.

I tried this one again just for the heck of it. The appearance was a nice golden color with a good head on the top. The aroma wasn't bad either. However, the aftertaste had a powerful bitterness to it. I found it very difficult to finish the glass.
