Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
Dark brown colour with ruby-copper highlights, a big frothy, creamyish, warm-beige head with good retention and full creamy-foamy lacing. A fresh blend of roasted malt base with some grassy hoppiness, giving some notes of coffee, molasses, herbs and caramel-chocolate hints. Lightly oily mouthfeel with a building dryness. The flavours are a nice mix of the roasted barley and the IPA hoppy finish. Quite a nicely balanced American Black Ale that goes down smoothly.
