From the 2022 McAuslan Gift Pack at the LCBO. The beer pours a dark brown with a generous bubbly brown head which sticks around a few moments. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The mouthfeel is somewhat chalky, medium to full bodied, and carbonation is average. The flavour is well balanced between the milk chocolate and coffee notes. -

341ml bottle from a mix-pack of their stouts. Second milk stout of the night (the other being Tuque de Broue La Traite). Pours a dark brown colour with a little ruby highlights. The head is beige, going on the mocha side with decent stay and some light lacing. Chocolate and caramel malts for aromas with some dark fruits from the roasted malts. Hints of grassiness with the hops. The taste shows scotch notes, even woody, with a nice balance between the darker malts and hops. Both are good.
