Limited Release. Mammoth Brewing Company is proud to introduce our first annual wet harvest ale! We use certified organically-grown hops, harvested straight from the field then added into our kettle and fermented while still warm and moist. This special ale features pristine alpine water from the headwaters of the Owens River and cascade hops from Banner Springs Ranch in the Glass Mountains. This year's OVWHA is a black IPA, using black and chocolate malts to impart a mild richness in flavor while highlighting the aromatic qualities of these high altitude hops. welcome to altitude.

Another black IPA. Not much in the way of hops here, the malty backbone overrides the flavor. Tastes of slight coffee and some chocolate. A much needed relief after that Dad's Little Helper. A nice and easy drinking beer, but, as is usual from Mammoth, not much in the way of an IPA.
