Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry. Vitals: Color – Yellow-Orange ABV – 6.0% O.G. – 1.053 Malt – American 2-Row, CaraPils, Caramel 40L, Red Wheat Hops – Warrior, Falconer’s Flight, Simcoe

Found somewhere in Portland on my trip there. Pours a clean golden colour with lots of nice slow carbonation, creating a big head, almost creamy, very long lasting with good lace. Citrus zest aromas with hints of pine. The mouthfeel is slightly dry, but the bitterness is quite light. Citrus flavours, peel again. Gets hazier by the pour. A decent American Pale Ale, that refreshes, goes down nicely... but nothing more.

Freshness date late October ( month ago) I love this nose, citrus hops just come screaming out. Notes of peach as well and a hint of pine. (There is not enough malt in the nose for the style, but I just like the nose too much to downgrade it more than a point.) Very white head, very good retention, nice lace, unusually yellow body for style. Mouth is just a bit thin but has nice carbonation levels. The flavor is lovely, it just not an APA; taste like a session IPA but with greater alcohol presence...thats not a bad taste at all, just off for style, very lacking in malt backbone. Don;t get me wrong, would have this again and is very quaffable. If i was grading this while ignoring style it would be a solid 4, but alas.

Very nice APA... slightly hazy orange-yellow with a moderate head. Intensely aromatic with citrus-pine, not so much as IPA, but didn't expect it to. Flavor is slightly bitter with a nice, full malt back.
