Corruption, Greed, and Lust. They're all represented on the hooks of today. Tomorrow, they'll be stinging Gluttony, Desire, and Sloth. Go ahead. Tell yourself you're better than all of them. But you can't. Hell can be funny like that. Down here it's all just sin. Everyone here is screwed just like you. They don't care who you sliced, diced, or cheated. No on is escaping this heinous place. Your roommate is an ax murderer. Eerily, he's not threatening. How can he be? Here, the Fallen Angel owns your body, mind and soul. As such, no one can take your life. It's already been taken. Or was it given? Neither matters. Did you seriously think you were living a virtuous life. At least Satan serves beer in Hell. He brews it himself right there in that flame stoked cauldron. Rumor has it the beer is straw yellow, bone dry and simply labeled Inferno.

And this was another out of John's cooler in the Bar(n). Lightly cloudy golden pour, fluffy white head, nice lacing. Requisite Belgian yeasty aroma and palate, spicy and bubbly, fruity and lightly sweet. Nice beer to share with a good friend. Thanks for letting me crack this one open John.

Everything I have heard about Lost Abbey beers is that are either great, or are very bad, nobody talks about the 'in between' world. To me, this is in between. It pours a decent hazed golden brown in the glass with a typical Belgian aroma of yeast, citrus, and grains. Flavour is very yeasty and grainy. A good solid beer.

dark yellow in color with a big head - obviously "well" carbonated. aroma is weaker than devotion, malty sweet and spicy with a hint of pepper, which i liked. warming, maybe even a touch hot. feel is too prickly due to the over-carbonation, but it almost works in this beer. flavor much like the aroma. not bad at all, but easily the weakest of the night for LA, and not quite worth the premium coin.

Aroma is not strong, but is fruity and a little malty with a nice crisp edge, slightly sweet and fairly inviting. It pours a hazy solar yellow with a very thick, white, persistent head that leaves some thick lacing. Flavor is malty and fruity, mainly pear with a little apple, a hint of honey and a subtle alcohol bite. Texture is very smooth, somewhat thick, and quite fizzy, leaving behind a nice tingle.

Cloudy straw body complete with a good creamy white cap. Aroma is peppery, yeasty and has mild ginger. Wheat and yeast dominate the flavor with a flowery dryness in the finish. Beer reminds me of Unibrou beers but this is lighter and more sour. Good brew nothing that makes it stand out it was maybe a touch light for my liking.

Bottle, 8.5% ABV, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Golden colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of American caramel malts with some "unfresh" marmalade notes. The flavour also has some moderate American hops.

The beer pours out a bright light golden body, lightly hazy with a thick creamy white head. Light carbonation bubbles streaming up from the bottom and nice lacing left behind. Aroma is rather soapy with cloves, bubblegum and hay notes. Also some light dried apricots getting detected. The palate notes are sweet citrus oil, peppery, hay, light apple juice, cloves with a toasted bread-like finish. Very nice.

Thanks to drgonzo for uncorking and sharing this fine bottle of brew. Poured a hazy straw yellow color with a slight orange tint. A lasting fuzzy head and ample lacing make for a good appearance. Interesting and inviting aroma of sour fruits, honey and a heavy earthy yeastiness. Dry and fairly tart, it's lively and quite refreshing. Good flavor that straddles a fine line between a Belgian Strong and a Tripel with a bit of wild sour ale thrown into the mix. Sugary, fermented fruits with a dry honey and grass approach. It was very good, but the sourness eventually caught up to me and become a bit too much.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki (thanks sayravai & co). Hazy yellowish golden colour with small white head. Aroma is hops, fruits, some grass as well as mild alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same with some quite herbal and even mild sour yeastyness.
