Pours a nice size foamy and creamy head and has a hazy amber appearance. Lacing is a bit weak. Aromas are quite malty and has a bit of earthy hops. Flavours have a bit of caramel and toffee in the mix but there's mainly cereal malts at the forefront. Mouthfeel has a bit of an astringent and tingling feel. Not too bad. Seems like a bit of saltiness in there, a bit odd. Not too bad but not the oktoberfest kinda beer I would drink for an extended part of time. After this 750ml bottle, I've had plenty.

750ml brown bottle that is corked and caged, from the LCBO. Production date: 01/08/2012. Pours a slightly hazy golden-amber colour with an off-white head, that is big, frothy, long-lasting and with foamy lacing. Aromas of bread, with some caramel malt, figs and other dark fruits. Medium-bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel. The taste is a decent mix of the malts, fruits and mild hops. Grainy cereal malt, sweet toffee and the hops just mildly drying off the finish. This is quite a nice Oktoberfest.

The beer pours a sollid copper colour, slightly hazed, with a thin tan head. Aroma is light fruits, grains, and hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is caramel, light fruits, sweet malt, and grains. A very nice tasting beer.

Bottle: Poured a clear reddish amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention but no lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with some dry grain also noticeable. Taste is mostly dominated by some dry grainy malt. I thought it lacked some sweetness and a creamy texture with carbonation being a bit low. Definitely not the best thing I have tried from them lately.

750ml corked bottle: This is one of my favorite styles so indulge me while I fawn over this fine example. The Look: Color and cap are perfect to style: glowing red-amber orange lightly hazed with a massive frothy off-white cap that lasts and laces up the stein. Aroma: Big Munich malt breadiness over woody-herbal nobles, very subtle spiciness some earthy notes..perfect nose to this. The delivery: Big chew on fat double decocted bready- toasty malts in the front...boarders on sweet but not ... but by middle this gets balanced with the herbal-woodiness of long boil Hallertau and spalters, some earthy tones ad to the toasty smooth character...finishes long and clean but damp with maltiness and hops in near balance...great bready after taste. Rich, satisfying, smooth and drinkable...all the prerequisites for the style....many are called bur few deliver a real Bavarian fest marzen but it was done here...again. LTM...you guys rock!!
