Aromas of hazelnuts and caramel. Well balanced mouth feel with a hoppy finish and lingering caramel and malt overtones.

Single bottle from my local Métro store. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a warm-beige frothy head that has decent retention and creamy lace. Nutty aromas with amber malts, and lots of caramel ones giving some maple syrup notes. The taste is also nutty (hazelnuts) in the finish, but starts off with hints of apples, mild hops and even a little wood. Surprisingly good with not much sweetness in the mouth that is found in the nose. I like it !

Also tried on tap at BDT. This one has a bit of a coppery appearance. Not too much head, hints of nutty aromas. Some caramel flavours. Lots of lacing, right down to bottom. A tiny coat of head remained throughout, till about 3/4 empty. Not really any aftertaste. Pretty good. Preferred this one compared to the Ashton amber.
