(33 cl bottle, bought in Denmark). Deep golden brown colour, no haziness, large head. Aroma is not very strong, but pleasant - yeasty and fruity (canned plums), some spices and herbs too. Full bodied sweet flavour, still quite smooth. Brown candy sugar, Christmas fruit cake spices and herbs prevail. Some alcoholic warmth, but not dominant. A great sipping beer!

Bottled, found in my own cellar as I moved. Deep rubyish amber colour with mediumsized fluffy off-white head, nice lace. Aroma is caramel, fruits, some bread as well as some alcohol and mild yeastyness. Flavour is spices, alcohol, bread and some fruits along with caramel malts. A very pleasantly balanced beer.

Pours a murky tan, medium head, and great lacing .. . dark fruit skin and molasses .. quite nice really .. . It was an interesting morning, fruitful. But it lacked the intensity that you and I generate together, the sparks that we get one-on-one. We just gotta figure out a way to work around your schedule. Could we work afternoons? Two to four? Three to five? Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

Bottle: Poured a deep burgundy and brown color ale with a great big foamy head with some good retention and some lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with some nice Belgian malt. Taste was to be honest a little bit disappointing with a watery body and a unrefined sugar taste that didn’t do much for me. The body is watery with some great carbonation and a nice creamy texture. I’m not the biggest fan of this brewery but I have to admit that this beer featured some great characteristics but lack some cohesion and a malt profile to hold the whole thing together.

Burnt orange, brown. Beige head. Nose first of fresh hops, then some complex malts. Even an earthy hint of mushroom or somesuch.... Flavour is spicy. Some yeasty phenolics, fruity candy hints. Lolly shop. Foamy mouthfeel, with good malt body that balances the bitterness that comes out. I reviewed this in parallel with the Radieuse..... this is not as harsh, and more approachable.

Bottle. Dark amber coloured, with large, creamy off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, dark fruits and spicey. Interesting and nice taste; full bodied, malty, and fruity with a slight bitter aftertaste. Excellent.

A beer that it is difficult to find something wrong with. It is easy to like at the first time you drink it.

clear dark reddish colour, fine and compact head, nice lacing, slightly toasted nose, aroma of licorice and caramel with a touch of alcohol, some sweetness, robust malt body, creamy mouthfeel with a correct finishing bitterness, the aftertaste is malty, slightly fruity and quite long

This beer is not sold in America. I've drank it in Europe. I'm not sure whether it is a dubbel or just a brown ale, but it is excellent. It has licorice notes, with a bit of a caramel roastiness, and a nice hop character. I wish they sold it here.
