This smooth brew ushers in Autumn with an invitingly tawny color complemented by an assertive maltiness. A noble crispness from German and Czech hops completes this very traditional lager-style beer.

KSBF07 poured an average amber color with small head. Aroma was toasted. Flavor was all caramel and a nasty either spice or hop to it. not good. at all

KSBF07. Pour was amber in color, weak head. Aroma was woodsy (I got on a woodsy kick at this fest?), toasted caramel. The flavor was toasted caramel, light nuts, woodsy, and a weird spicey hoppy almost burnt type blended aftertaste, odd. Not a great example of the style.

Clear chestnut color with quickly dissipating head. Toasty aroma. Flavor was toasty and sweet caramel, a bit too sweet, actually. Smooth mouthfeel was the best part of this one.

I really liked the darkish brown coloring of this one. There was also a nice looking, long lasting head. The aroma was interesting-a blend of hops, grains and fruit. The taste was smooth but I thought the hops were just a little too strong.
