Small tight white head. Lots of carbonation can be seen. Color of body is almost a cross between peach juice and yellow. Clear in nature. Nice hoppy nose. Flavor profile matches that of the nose. My guess its one or two hops at most. None of these crazy 10+ variety blends!! (or at least it tastes that way). Hops linger on palate in the aftertaste. Not too bitter, but still present. Nice beer. Could it be more complex? Perhaps, but sometimes its nice to have something on the simple side.

Bomber pours clear deep gold with inch and a half white head. The mild aroma is sweet malts, hints of pineapple, floral hops and a pinch of citrus. The flavor begins smooth and soon becomes malt sweetness mixed smoothly with floral hops. Very smooth with hints of sweet citrus hops. Easy drinking 7.8% ABV brew with tasty malts and mild floral hops riding into the after taste with a hint of toffee in tow.

Come on, what kind of name is this for a beer? Are we running out of beer names with so many selections out there? I’m not giving points for a name. Had this at the Vintage Estates Octoberfest Beer Tasting Festival. Yes it is IPA. Smells and looks like it too. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance with a somewhat creamy head. Olfactory of spruce pine. Decent carbonation for an IPA. Taste is as usual for this style; bitter, chewing on grapefruit rind impressions. Overall a good example of the style, rude and offensive. Just plain mouth puckering bitter hop yucky. Medicinal lasting bitter taste hangs after the session for quite a while. Glass of water please.

I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. An IPA with some bite, yet still refreshing. Lots of piney and citrusy hints to balance out the caramel aroma. Refreshing balance between the hops and malt in the finish as well.

This beer was a staple in my house this past summer. And while it’s just now I’m getting around to input my thoughts on this beer, I still have several bottles and while they aren’t as potent as they were in July, it’s still really damned good.
The beer pours out a straighforward amber color with huge amounts of clingy head and intricate lace patterns left behind. A stunning fluffy, light tan/off-white head stays with you the entire pint. The beer oozes citrusy goodness with a floral angle that works really well for me. Slight notes of bread and caramel are also accounted for. Flavor has a stunning piney hop note, peppery with a helping dose of caramel to smooth things out nicely. Even now with the beer past it’s price, it’s still prickly enought to let you know that it was a solid IPA and still easy to drink. -

22oz. bottle: Been saving this, hope not too long. Pour: Orange-gold with a rich off-white cap, great retention and lacing. Aroma: Peaches and biscuit malt some floral-citrus notes. Good body, rich caramel malts in the front balanced with peachy esters and citrus-pine hop bite which goes bitter in the finish. A great IPA and a tribute to a great man.

Pours with a deep orange-gold body topped by a thick, off-white head with lots of lacing. It’s bitter with an underlying peach and citrus note that adds a little sweetness as well as some acidity. The finish is very bitter. Medium bodied and dry.

Pale clear orange colour with a small white foam. Sharp hoppy aroma of grapefruit, grass and cat pee. Medium bodied with strong hoppy notes of grapefruit, grass and ink. Long, clean bitter finish of grass, grapefruit and ink (cat-pee).

Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium foamy head with minimal lacing. Aroma of cascade hops with some medium bitterness. Taste consists of medium caramel malt with some traces of c-hops bitterness and light floral notes. Body is about average with some good carbonation. Very average overall.

Bottle, thanks to my son Steinar. Golden colour, large head. Nice aroma of fruity American hops. The flavour is sweet and hoppy with a very bitter finish, but I don’t get much complexity, let alone subtlety. I’m not a big fan of this one.
