November 2014: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, from Kihiosk, Copenhagen. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of prunes and other dark dried fruits, also oak, hints of fortified wine. The flavour is also oaky with dark dried fruits, not too sweet. Very good.

Clear dark ruby, big lasting, lacing tanned foam head. Light caramel tones, strong beer in drinking. Not sweet, very nice beer again from beer contry Belgium. (Velp 201608)

Poured out extremely dark brown with a long lasting thick foamy head. The aroma is nothing special. The mouthfeel is pretty thick. The taste is a bit bitter and has a chalky aftertaste.

Hazy, dark rusty coloured pour with a decent bubbly head that lasted all of thirty seconds. Ripe fruit aroma. Flavour is fruity. Banana, figs, peach and a bit of spice. Ok but once was enough.

Poured a very large amount of foamy head, very bubbly. Has a dark amber/coppery appearance. Dirty lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, raisins and spices. Flavours are mostly nutty and toasty roasted malts with notes of chocolate. Strongly spiced with a bit of coffee and raisins as well as hints of grapes. Stronger beer at 9%abv and this one actually shows it, mainly in the finish and somewhat in the aftertaste. Has a slick and drying mouthfeel and gives a warming, tingling sensation. Not bad, alcohol is quite apparent.

This was really hot. I guess I expected the alcohol to be hidden better. that said, I also expected more complexity in the flavor profile. Some raisins, and a touch of bittering hops, but over all, messy and not repeatable.

330ml Bottle racked spe 15/12. Pours a cloudy rust color with small cap. Aroma is ver complex - spices, grainy, sweetness, ripe fruit, cocoa, licorice vanilla, earthiness, great aroma. Flavor is multi faceted, complex and changes as it warms there are many flavors here that seem to float in an underlying pear cider type of brew - has a long drying fruity finish - absolutely astounding brown ale.

Single brown bottle from the LCBO, written Belgian Paradise Beer at 9% ABV. Pours a hazy copper-amber colour with a big, light beige head that is frothy, has great retention and thick lacing. Kind of a mild sour nose with notes of raisins, malt, oranges and some light spices. Wet mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Again, the taste is a little mild. A little sweetness, a little sourness. Toffee, roasted malts, plums, spices and hop that make this one a little unbalanced (kind of weird). Does not show its alcohol content, but a little too mild overall... and different.

The beer pours a reddish brown colour, translucent, with a light tan head. The aroma is dark fruit, spices, bread, and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium. Flavour is slighftly sweet with dark fruit, molasses, and yeast. -

Rich malty brown in smell and flavor. Big fluffy head, murky orange brown. Lighter body for such a big beer. Nice flavor, much more than a brown but certainly not anything like a dubble.
