Our inspiration for this beer comes from our family who have been farming in Bristol, Quebec since 1925. This 150 acre farm has seen a lot of change over the years but still remains in the family. We first started out with dairy cattle and now are farming soybeans and hay. This stout offers a balance of roasted malts and residual sweetness.

Pours a cola-looking colour with a small beige cap and minimal lacing. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Sweet, but not syrupy. Aromas are kind of off-balanced, with some sweetness, fruitiness and farm notes. Was expecting creamier, darker, richer. I guess it's an easy-drinking mild stout.

On tap at Arrow and Loon. Pours very little head and has a deep dark amber appearance, almost brownish. Ok lacing. Aromas of light roasted malts, cocoa, hints of vanilla. Flavours of light chocolate, coffee, some more cocoa notes. Some sweet malts. Average carbonation and medium bodied mouthfeel. Not bad.
