With an abundance of hops and a sweet caramel backbone, this is a true session beer. A grassy, nutty and flavourful malt body is balanced by citrusy hops and a touch of spice. Clocking in at 34IBU's, this beer is just bitter enough to keep the hopheads coming back without being crushingly dry or astringent. Colour: 9srm – golden/amber IBU – 34 ABV – 5.5% Aroma – citrus, mild pine and grass Hops – Cascade and Centennial Malt – Canadian 2 row, crystal malt + a few other secrete ingredients. Idea serving temperature – 8-12C (45-54f) Tasting notes – nutty undertones with a hint of spice, grapefruit and grass with a dry finish. Availability – year round at your favourite watering hole and LCBO location.

Can. Colour - clear rust color, thin tight white head, lpenty of effervescence. Aroma - toasted caramel, light citrus, bread. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - caramel, some roasted malt notes, light citrus tones, and a hint of yeast.

Poured a dark yellow/light copper colour, with a good creamy head and average carbonation. Good aromas, some barley malts, light hops and a hint of vanilla. Nice smooth mouthfeel, little tangy on the palate, no noticeable aftertaste. Light roasted malt flavours, with some citrus coming through giving it the mild hoppiness. Pretty good stuff.

Not bad. Not bad at all. This brewery has a future. So what about the beer then? If you like subtely caramel tasting ambers, this is for you. And it's kinda hoppy. Picture if Smithwicks was brewed as a PA.

Single can at the Orleans LCBO. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a foamy off-white warm cap that leaves a soapy top and lacing. Mild hop nose at first, but eventually, becomes malty with caramel, bread and fruit. Medium-bodied and kind of smooth. The hop is present in the taste as well, and mild as well. Adds grapefruit notes to the caramel malts and some nice light dryness in the finish. Pretty good session American Pale Ale, well-balanced between hoppy, but not too much. Overly refreshing.

On tap: Pours a roily copper colored ale in the tumbler, smallish cap lasts and laces. Decent aroma; pungent cereals mingle with fruity esters and spicey-grassy hopping, some musty earthiness. Flavor is well defined, deep bready malting balanced off with spicy-piney hops, fruity...mild character, soft mouth feel,...finishes long wet and bitter with an extended wet metal taste. Nicely done pale ale in the old Burton style.

American Style Pale Ale brewed by one of Toronto's newest brewers. Poured a translucent copper colour with a thin white creamy head. Citrusy hops dominate the aroma, with some roast and caramel malt in the mix. A crisp bitter tasting beer with the citrus of the hops being the most notable flavour.

I tried this beer on tap on April 29, 2011 at 'C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent golden copper colour with a thin white head that laced well. The aroma was citrus hops, caramel malt, and alittle spice. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour slightly sweet with grapefruity hops. Refreshing and enjoyable.
