Not sure of the full name, but this is the only pale ale for ks on her, and most only brew one. I disagree completely with the scores though. Lots of citrus and florals, especially in the aroma, with just enough sweet and biscuit malt to balance. refreshing and tasty.

From Karl Strauss in La Jolla - overall a low-average, bland flavor was a big put-off and it appeared weak in the sampler glass, so I had some of my wife's pint and it was not that great either (not was she impressed). Coulda-shoulda-woulda.

This was a pale ale, 12oz bottle. Medium gold color, small head. Mild malts, medium hops. Good balance of hops and malts. Nicely malty, mild flavor. Finish is smooth and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, slight malt sweetness.

Unfilered, no real champagne bubbles; good nose--clean, crisp; not excessively hoppy; firm, rich head; good lace; firm but graceful late hop addition (hallertauer?); good balance of flavor, maltiness; slight peppery tone which is inappropriate for this beer; moderate mouthfeel.

The only reason I drink this was Karl had a lock on all the beers at Street Scene. I know these guys dont give a crap about their beer and it shows. Too bad.
