The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Bavarian Wheat its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

500 ml swingtop bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Strong aroma of ripe bananas and banana-flavoured candy / bubble gum, also notes of cloves. Refreshing flavour, some sweetness but not too much, notes of banana, citrus and cloves. In other words: a typical well made Hefe-Weissbier, which is good enough for me, as I love this beer style, esp. in summer.

Pours slightly hazy topaz with a thick and fairly persistent vellum head. Aroma yields wheat, lemon, yeasty and banana tones. Flavor brings wheat, yeast, lemon and banana with a hint of spice. Texture provides decent body and peppy fizz. Straight - and crisp - outta Bavaria.

Hazy yellow with big staying lacing white foam head. Aroma is malty, with citrus, orange notes. Taste is good weißbier, but nothing outstanding. Short fresh little citrus aftertaste. (Velp 201304)

Poured hazy mid yellow with huge head decent lacing later. no noticeable efference and a bit flat. This was a a can and I never should have tasted it from the can..ick..me and cans do NOT mix. It smelled..can I say clean? Taste was a bit hoppy but I cant distinguish the after taste but is herbal sorta. I read all the others before me but I cant pull it out. Nothing to make me jump up and yell "I Love it..but its ok..Surely better than a swill beer. Going to buy it in the 5liter mini tap and if anything different shows up I will add it here.

It's OK. Nothing offensive about the smell or taste, but nothing stands out, either. Price is right, I like how it says on the bottle that it MUST be poured in a glass, don't drink it straight out of the container. This is not a complex malt liquor, so from the bottle or in a glass, same taste to me :)

a nice aroma greets the nose of banana and clove. creamy mouthfeel. flavorful beer...more banana and clove...better than average for sure. not quite up to the Wiehenstephaner/Schneider level, but pretty dang good.

Flip-top bottle: golden straw nearly clear pour with a bubbly head and very light lacing. Very good carbonation, almost fizzy on the tongue. Bananas, lemon zest, very slight clove, a hint of honeysuckle and yeasts in the aroma. Taste is zesty and fruity with the bananas and lemony flavors upfront then a bit of spice in a effervescent finish. Nice hefe, great bottle.

Tried this Hefe for the first time, 5 Sept 10. Great cloudy pour, with a somewhat disappointing white head. Very good mouth feel-creamy. A different flavor comes thru with this Hefe, besides the clove, banana, and citrus. Interesting and not unpleasant at all, maybe my taste vocab has to widen just a bit more. Very drinkable with no after taste. Months later and many Kapuzingers. Bumped up the rating , this Hefe is just one good drinkable beer! I think the temperature has a lot to do with the head on this beer. Too cold seems to dampen it down.

Aroma of clove and banana with a bit of grian as well. Appearance was nice with a very hazy deep orange/ golden body, the head was thick and frothy, good lace as well. Mouthfeel was a bit on the watery side, flavors of citrus and clove, with a bit of banana in the finish all were a bit light. Overall it was o.k., but there are better hefe's that are more accessible to me.

I've always seen Kapuziner beers on the shelves, but they've always came in those mini-keg's and those are rarely bought. So while checking out the beers at BevMo, I see that they are now carrying the pint bottles so I bought all the styles they had on hand. In the mood for a nice hefe, this was the one I pulled out first.
The beer pours out a light golden color, slightly hazy with a huge 3 finger fluffy head which melted away to a scant 1/2 finger head. Aroma of cloves, a bit of bananas and lemongrass. Flavored carried strong citrusy notes, biscuity and bananas. Soft and velvety mouthfeel. The finish reminded me in ways of a cheap white wine. Just okay.
