500ml brown bottle from the LCBO that pours a very slight hazed, darker copper colour with amber highlights. The frothy head is beige, stays a little and some watery foam lacing runs down the glass. Fruity nose with apples, dark fruits notes over the roasted malts and hints of warming alcohol. The taste shows a balance of dark fruits with the hops that cut the sweetness. The oats are very light in here, was expecting more lactose breakfasty. A good stronger porter.

Draught. Colour - Dark mahogany, murky, foaming brown cap, decent lacing. aroma - coffee, dark chocolate, nuts, roasted malt. Mouthfeel - aklmost full bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - more sweet malt than bitter chocolate and coffee. It was a great complement to the steak for dinner.

Guest tap at Tooth and Nail Brewpub. Pours a nice big frothy tan head and has a fairly dark amber appearance with reddish highlights. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of light toasty malts, resin and earthy hops, hints of coffee. Flavours are mainly malty, toasty, some nice notes of coffee, dry fruits, resin hops. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. Average carbonation. A very faint smokey like finish. Pretty good.

The beer pours a coca-cola brown with a thin white ring for a cap. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The mouthfeel was medium-full bodied with average carbonation. The fl;avour was roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. Quite enjoyable.
