this beer has a nice dark amber to it, plus it's made w/ hemp so what more could you want. the taste has a bite which a hop head like loves. the poor was nice and so was the lacing.

Labeled in uniqueness as a hemp ale. How could a serious beer geek pass it up? A bold, dark ruby-brown bodied beer with a two finger foamy textured very light beige head that rises briefly above. It settles into a thin ringlet. Caramel nose. A nutty sweet malt tasting. Yes it is interesting. Mdeium bodied. But not outstanding.

light pine cone, slight metal .. . dark brown .. wimpy head .. . light sweetness, thinnish body ... . needs more fullness and actually needs some hemp flavors, a tad too nutty .. . goes better with a smoke .. .

By far the most pleasant beer of the evening. Smooth and even flavor. Dark cherry brown with a tan head. I suppose this is listed as a spiced ale because of the hemp, but I don't find any unusual flavors or smells here...I don't know what the hemp contributed outside of marketing.Despite the dark color of this beer, there is a bright and floral flavor to it (must be the hops they use). A very good beer, and a soothing way to end an evening.

nice and malty up front, with peet and caramel malt, good body, although the aroma is lacking. the beer makes up for it with it's solid malt backbone and hoppy finish. solid, with a small alcohol kick.

From a bottle. Pours a clear reddish/brown with an off-white head. Aroma is weak, malty with an iced tea-type undertone. Flavor si average at best. Nothing really stands out. I suppose if I was a stoner this would be a cool beer to drink since it has a pot leaf on the bottle, but nothing too special overall.

Sacramento Sports and Brew Fest. I seemed to have been cursed this Saturday to drink nothing but unispired, blah beer. This beer fell in line with todays theme. An aroma of subtle iced tea with no real signifigant character other than that. I tried, but zip. Appearance was a deep reddish/copper color, almost bordering on brown. Flavor was just uninspiring. Very little to hang your taste buds on to except some sweetness from the malts. While it wasn't offensive, it was just simply boring.

What better place to have a hemp ale then in San Francisco, right in the Haight. That's where I had this one: pours a darker copper colour with a fairly large head. aroma was sweet and enticing, floral and vaguely reminiscent of the green. Taste was tolerable, but i wasn't overly impressed with this beer unfortunately. i expected more. Taste was acidic, light fruitiness and sort of watery in the finish.

Nice malty brew with a fruity hop balance. Do away with the hemp bit and this is a slightly better than average brew.

Poured a reddish amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, light roast, nuts, and citrus hops as well. Taste of more nuts and caramel, with a touch of citrus bitterness, and a dry, schwag finish. I hear that hemp seeds impart a nuttiness to a beer.
