Description A delicious, malty, copper ale brewed in limited quantities every spring, it is made with 100% barley, hops, water & yeast. It is named for the Canadian epic, Squamish BC's Test of Metal Mountain Bike Race, a 67 km single-track race featuring 1,000 riders and an army of community volunteers to make it Canada's most successful grassroots mountain bike race. Food Pairing This is a thirst-quenching beer, with a milder hop and malt profile. It goes well with very hot food, like blackened fish, chili, hot wings and tacos. This is a great ale for the summer barbecue. Our Bottle This re-closable bottle, known as a “pot-stopper”, was widely used in Europe and North America prior to the 1950s. Our new combination cap is an innovative design that allows closure by both crown and swing caps. It can be re-used and meets our green packaging objectives.

Huzzah for the one-litre swing top bottles favoured by Howe Sound (and by me as well)! Not much of a head with this one, what there was being a thin, ivory-coloured layer on top of a rather nice and clear amber/copper body. The aroma was quite malty, with some hop undertones; I found the flavour to be very much the same. Mouthfeel was smooth, and it finished sweet and malty.
