500 ml bottle bought at the brewpub. Poured in the original Hotteterre snifter glass a hazy and unpasteurised deep amber colored ale with a one finger slight beige creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Poor lacing. The aroma is sweet roasted malts, wood, barnyard. The flavour is roasted malts, ripe fruits, raisins, plums, dried apples, spicy, licorice. The mouthfeel is very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a nice fruity finish. An interesting product from a small farm in a tiny village in Upper Normandy.
