Secession is a Cascadian Dark Ale. This emerging beer style is characterized by an alliance of Northwest hop flowers as formidable as the Cascade Mountain Range and roasted malts as dark as a moonless night. Join the party and uncap a revolution!

Dark and chewy, with a nice mocha meets grapefruit thing going on on the nose and the palate. Super solid black ipa from a brewer I expected less from.

From Central City. Poured a creamy ecru-hued head over a dark ruby body, accented with a lovely hop and malt aroma. Taste was strongly hopped with a suggestion of dark chocolate. Finish was tart, and smooth mouthfeel. I like this brewery.
