pours dark, hazy copper/brown with a small frothy off-white head. Decent retention and lacing. The aroma is surprisingly malt-forward; roasted toffee is especially evident. Biscuit and caramel accompany this, along with a pine resiny hoppiness. The taste is fairly sweet with a bit of resin in the background. Sweet caramel/toffee and a bit nutty and bready. Mild bitterness to provide a nice finish, but overall this is a touch too sweet, especially considering it's a pale ale. The mouth feel is medium bodied and medium carbonation. Kind of soapy mouth feel.

Think i had this a bit past it's prime, as the other reviews on here are older than mine, and this "hoppy" session brew had a rather weak, uninspired hop profile. Light citrus and bready malts, average across the board.

Don't know why all the hate on this brew? I actually think this is a good hoppy representation of this style. Flavor mid 7s to 8....but mid 3s rating is about where I put this. I like the mouthfeel....and balance is nice too. Worth the try.

Definitely a session with little in terms of both hops and malt. A bit too astringent for my liking, like instead of hops they added aspirin. I didn't find much appealing about this beer to WANT to drink several of these. I barely wanted to finish my bottle. -

Sampled on 10/3/2012. This American Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Decent balance starts malty and bready and finishes hoppy. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey-golden with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale wheat head. Aroma is VERY hoppy, more woody than evergreen, with fruity and malty hints. Flavor is mainly hoppy, quite bitter and woody, with malty and fruity notes and a whisper of honey. Firm, ragged texture has plenty of life and fizz. If you like IPAs, this one is for you. Dry-hopped beers rock!

Hazy copper pour with a lingering white head. Plenty of biscuity malts in the aroma and taste but nicely balanced by the light piney hop notes that leaves me with a slightly bitter finish. Good sessionable beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper amber with a smallish white head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass some.
The aroma is sweet toasted caramel malts and green apple with a little resiny hop.
The flavor is sweet biscuity caramel malts with some fruity slightly resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with sharp carbonation.
Overall, a decent pale ale. A bit to toasty/biscuity for my tastes but with nice hops. -

Pours a deep tan .. medium head, awesome cloudy lacing .. . homework sucks .. . light wood, light bitter malt can, and unsweetened molasses .. nice bitterness level, short finish .. . alright stuff, was expecting much more though .. . . marriage isn't a salad bar!
