Enjoying this one at Empire State Building. Pour a dark brown colour with a great creamy off-white head with great retention and lacing. Beautiful roasty nose with soft nuts and butterscotch. Creamy mouthfeel with a little bitterness and dryness in the finish. Flavours are mild but still delicious. Coffee, roasted malts and a little sourness. Really love the smell, wish the taste was a bit more powerful.

Decent beer overall, not sure I found it as good as everyone else did. Dark brownish black with virtually no head. No evidence of lacing left behind on the glass. Dark roasted malts, milk chocolate and some smoke on the taste. Aroma was pleasent with decent heavily roasted malt. A hint of tree bark or something slightly bitter but earthy near the finish.

this was a fairly light but "elegantly" flavored oatmeal stout. ridiculously smooth, velvety texture. dark chocolate and espreso nose and flavor. quite good!

Very dark brown bodied topped by a creamy kahaki colored head. Aroma is roasted malts, milk chocolate and some burnt tones. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and milky. The flavor is dark chocolate, coffee, oatmeal and again some light burnt tones coming though in the finish.

On draft at the Radio City location. Pour was full stout black color, nice choco colored head, good lacing. The aroma was of strong chocolate with light mocha notes too, more milky than roasty. The flavor matched the aroma, full milk chocolate profile (too milky?), pretty nice, although not a stand out. Mouthfeel was like chocolate milk.

One of 8 ea 5 oz samples in the $12.95 "Seasonal Voyage" sampler. Quite a pedigree on this one: Gold, Silver, and Bronze respectively at the 97, 99, and 95 GABF. The flavor profile begins with a hearty, roasted start, with hints of java, then picks up a rich, dark chocolate sweetness. For the style, the body is a bit thin and the finish a bit mild. But overall, my favorite of the pack and a respectable brew.

so i see this won an award or somethin. well its black, little white head. decent smoked nutty chocolate aroma. very creams light body to it. The sample was good, not sure if i want much more, doesnt carry much weight for a stout.

this had a great appearance. good dark color and nice tan head. however, tasted very watered down. had hints of malt and tasted strongly of oatmeal and smokey flavors, but not much of anything else... maybe i had all the good stuff too soon to rate this fairly..?

More roasted malt aroma than anything else. Decent bitter chocolate taste thats both dry and sweet. The one beer these guys make (that I had) that’s worth drinking. Save the $14.50 taster price and just get a pint or 2 of this.

Tap at the Chophouse... Poured a dark brown/reddish color with a small tan head and a little lacing. Aroma of anise, black licorice, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste of chocolate and coffee, a little sweet licorice with a creamy mouthfeel. This certainly lived up to the hype.
