Bump in the Night is brewed in the Cascadian Dark Ale (CDA) style and is the perfect companion for long winter nights. The array of dark malts present a full bodied beer with notes of cocoa and slight roast. It has a big floral citrus hop flavor and bitterness, reminiscent of an IPA. Bump in the Night will be available in specialty beer stores and pubs on draught and in 22oz bottles Mid December to March. ABV 6.5%, IBU 65.

At first sip this brew was very nice, and as I drank on even more flavor peeked through. It has a very nice color to it, a nice dark hue. Would most certainly get it again.

Had this at the brewery in Hood River last weekend. Dark brown color with good lacing. Nice pine and citrus hop with roasted malt aroma. Light medium body is easy to drink and mostly smooth. Nicely balanced between the hops and malt with a clean hop aftertaste. Overall a good but doesn't stand out from the others in this emerging style.

Yet another winner from Full Sail. While some might think that the Black Ale style is an abomination, I do enjoy the uniqueness of the style and found this to be a easy beer to get into. An aroma of cheap chocolate chip cookies, spicy, herbal, with a faint note of roast. Appearance is probably it's least appealing item, as it looked more like a brown ale than a black ale...but it was dark enough I guess. Flavor has that odd-ball roasted coffee with citrus note to it that I seem to enjoy. Some light spicy/yeast notes, kinda charcoal-like, but still having a light raisin quality. Very nice. -

looks more like a brown ale than a black, but that everlasting smooth head is nice. aroma weakish roasted malts and some citrus hops. fairly smooth, a little thin. the flavor was a surprise and won me over. great balance and a taste that just worked. light chocolate, roast and bittersweet citrus hops...just enough.

It pours a very dark-brown with a thick light-tan head and some lacing. An aroma of roasted caramel malts, hops, citrus, bitterness, and a fine blend of spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, chewy, and rich. Flavors of roasted malts, hops, coffee, light chocolate, orange, bitters, bread and yeast, and spices. Solid, good stuff!

Pours opaque dark chestnut with a low but fluffy head. Gobs and gobs of lacing. Aroma is malt grass. Mouthfeel has a nice ting to it. Flavor is acidic and unbalanced. Something is wrong here.
