You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

My favorite. Awesome across the board. Fresh roasted Coffee and chocolate aroma and flavor. Silky body, medium to low medium carbonation. This isn't too heavy either, very easy to sit back and have a couple. Did I mention this is my favorite? Not one flaw, well maybe one- It's not a 10 during the summer months....but still a 9.

12 oz bottle. Poured dirty muddy motor oil. With some effort a thin brown head was conjured up. Full strength aroma of dark roasted coffee beans, chocolate, some caramel and molasses. The sip has a nice rich thick mouth feel. There is lots of flavor in this beer with coffee, caramel, molasses, and more coffee. The taste ends with a bit of a building oatmeal flavor. Again, lots of flavor here. Tasty brew. No sense of the ABV either.

Finally after all these years I get a chance to taste this stuff on tap at the Vintage Estates Octoberfest Beer Tasting in Boardman Ohio. Black opague pour, looks like used motor oil out of my shovel head. Very thin oily head. What head there is is like chocolate mousse. The smell is freshly brewed strong coffee. I think I’m gonna ask for some creamer! Taste is rich quality black iced coffee. That is all that can be tasted, it even covers the alky flavors and at nearly 9%, that is a tuff thing to do. No carbonation can be detected probably due to the single mindedness of this brew. If your a coffee lover, you gonna like it. Otherwise, if you you can’t appreciate coffee, forgettabouttit. Bitter lingering strong black coffee finish. IMHO the aroma and appearance of this brew is what keeps it above average. Otherwise, would not buy again.

Bottle at Schouskjelleren. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and hops. Sweet and chocolaty and very flavourful. Very well balanced and lots of fresh coffee and dark chocolate in the flavour. Very smooth and a pure enjoyment to drink. Alcohol is very well integrated. Excellent stout!

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 8.3%, IBU 60. Pitch black colour, moderate to low tan head, not the best retention. Strong and intense aroma of fine coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour is full of coffee, with dark chocolate and oats in the background. Pretty good.

Can only agree with all others rating this beer before me, a great bear. Chocolate aroma, weak coffee. Chocolate taste, some bitterness, but that is only contributing to taste. (Manchester 201501)

This stout pours out 100% black. The aroma is mild and mostly just light hints of chocolate and just a wee hint of coffee. The mouthfeel is solid but not thick. The first two sips had a hint of hops but not bad. As it warmed up it begin to smooth out and taste like cream and coffee. It's not very complex which is shocking because it really hides the 60 IBU. Which is my thresh hold for hop content.
